The Bank for International Settlements to Co-Host Fintech Week

This year, DC Fintech Week will be teaming up with The Bank for International Settlements on Day One to explore cutting edge developments in fintech policy, including issues of coordination and competition in international payments, digital assets and more.
The BIS is an international organization and “bank for central banks” tasked with fostering international monetary and financial cooperation. As part of this mandate, the BIS–and its path-breaking policy and research organ, the BIS Innovation Hub–has been at the forefront of cross-border dialogues on financial policy and coordination. The range of issues covered by the BIS’s work is as diverse as the international economy, and includes central bank digital currencies, digital identities, digital payments and more.
